The Waters that Knew Her Name: A Kingdom Allegory

When a young child is swept from the deck of a moonlit ship and
pulled beneath the waves, her story does not end — it begins. Lost to
the storm, stripped of memory, and wrapped in a mysterious cocoon
beneath the sea, she awakens as something changed… something she
does not yet understand.

But the deep knows her. The waters have always known her. And the
One who moves within them has never forgotten her name.

Drawn into a world beneath the surface, the child is led through
mystery, healing, and revelation. She learns to breathe in waters
meant to drown her, to hear melodies long buried, and to discover the
identity she thought she had lost forever. Yet her journey is not for
her alone. The deep has a purpose — one that will call her back to
the surface, back to the storms, and back to those still drowning in
the darkness she once knew.

The Waters That Knew Her Name is a lyrical, symbolic tale of
identity, restoration, and the One who rescues, remakes, and calls us
by name long before we ever hear His voice.

About the Author

Abbey Marx is a graduate of Kenneth Copeland Bible College,
where she studied biblical foundations, practical theology, and the
healing work of the Holy Spirit. Her calling is clear and deeply
personal: to help those who feel frozen in childhood trauma
reclaim their God-given identity, step into wholeness, and walk
in everlasting freedom.

A creative at heart, Abbey has spent years designing and crafting
handmade dolls as tools for expression, comfort, and emotional
restoration. What began as a personal healing practice has grown
into a meaningful ministry resource—one that reflects her belief
that God meets people in tender, tangible ways.

Abbey’s writing is shaped by her own journey, her love for
allegory, and her desire to reveal the nearness of God in the places
people feel most lost. The Waters That Knew Her Name is her first
published allegory, born from prayer, lived experience, and a
passion to help others discover the identity the Father has spoken
over them since the beginning.

She lives in Texas, where she treasures time with her family, pours
into creative ministry, and continues developing resources that
help the hurting find their voice, their story, and their freedom.

What People are saying about the book!

“It tells of the lost and then found with the hand of God. Faith in knowing will change a person for the better. You wrote in a way that doesn’t turn away people. Instead, I believe, it will open their eyes to what they have shunned away from. From a traditional talking point people tend to run from. Your story, I truly think, will tell it better so they will seek their own Melody that God gave. “
